Putting Students First, for Over 50 Years
At Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School, every decision we make begins with one question: “How will this benefit our students?” For more than five decades, we’ve remained committed to creating a learning environment where students with diverse learning needs are supported, challenged, and celebrated.
We understand that some families have been searching for the right educational fit for years, while others are just beginning their journey. Wherever you are in the process, we’re here to help you explore whether KGMS is the right match for your child.
If, after reviewing our website, you believe our school may be a good fit, we invite you to complete our Inquiry Form or contact our Admissions team directly at [email protected] or (604) 985-5224.
We’re so glad you’ve found us.
2026-27 School Year
Applications for the 2026–27 school year are now open. We encourage families to submit their applications by March 31, 2026.
If you have questions about required documents or need assistance with your application, please email [email protected] — our team is happy to help.
Once your application is submitted and reviewed, Visit Days will be scheduled between April and the first week of June 2026. Visit Days are an important part of our admissions process and give us the opportunity to get to know your child and ensure the right learning environment for their success.

Student Visit Opportunity
After reviewing the file, if we feel your child is a good fit, we will reach out to discuss having the student spend some time visiting the school and experiencing what it’s like to be a KGMS student. This allows them to participate in class, meet peers and teachers, and experience life at KGMS.
6
Parent Meeting
You’ll meet with our Director of Admissions or Head of School to discuss your child’s strengths, challenges, and how KGMS can support their learning and growth.
7

Following the visit and meeting, we’ll follow up with an admissions decision. If accepted, we’ll guide you through the next steps for enrollment.
Hear what our parents have to say:
